My background is in understanding and helping clients cope with developmental trauma. I incorporate collaborative problem-solving into my work with clients and enjoy using creative modalities to help clients express themselves through activities such as making art, improv, gaming (VR), movement, yoga, and drumming. My experience includes working with individuals, families, and groups. Over the years I have worked in various settings including outpatient, foster care, residential programs, group homes, and in schools. I work with both children and adults.
My specialty areas and certifications include Brainspotting, DBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Certified Expressive Art Therapist, Registered Yoga Teacher (200-hour RYT), Dancing Mindfulness Facilitator, and Drum Circle Leader. Each can be used in conjunction with talk therapy.
I want to normalize therapy for my clients. As a therapist I have received my own counseling over the years. My own wellness journey has inspired me to work in this field. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health on a daily basis. My job is never to judge but to help. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
