About
The choice to begin therapy can be scary. However, I believe it is brave. You, like most people, may be looking for greater awareness into your life experiences, deeper intimacy in your relationships, and more meaningful satisfaction in your life. I work with clients to find their strengths and point out how to use those strengths to find solutions. I like to bring humor into the therapy room and believe that one of the most important factors in therapy is the relationship between therapist and clients. I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches that can be tailored to clients’ needs, but I often lean towards EFT and CBT.
I provide therapy for adults, couples, and families. As a trained Marriage and Family therapist I focus on relationships by emphasizing how people experience emotions with one another and how interactions are constructed. I believe that problems often arise from how partners unintentionally contributes to patterns of interaction, leading to difficulties.
We will work together to explore presenting problems by focusing on the interactions and beliefs that maintain difficulty. Collaboratively we will work to assess, point out, and challenge faulty thought/communication patterns that often foster anxiety and lack of intimacy. You will be given the space to explore who you are and what matters to you.
