Nicole provides therapy to teens, adults, and couples. Nicole understands the common struggles teenagers and their families face. Nicole also specializes in law enforcement (first responders), who are ready to address the unique challenges and impact the responder profession has had on their lives and relationships. Due to serving over 26 years in law enforcement, Nicole is deeply aware of police-related issues such as administrative betrayal, the weight of calls, and the stigma around seeking help. Nicole offers empathy and compassion, while being direct in order to help clients stay true to themselves and the healing process.
Nicole believes her role is to create a safe, supportive environment while maintaining a balance of empathy, compassion, and kindness. She understands that seeking help can be very difficult and she does not take that lightly. Nicole listens closely, challenges clients to stay true to the process, and ensures they are actively engaged in their own healing.
Nicole believes in leveraging existing strengths while learning new coping tools and strategies, particularly for those grappling with the effects of trauma. She generally follows CBT and Solution Focused approaches of therapy. She assists clients in finding a renewed sense of purpose through establishing small, achievable, and measurable goals.
