Nicole has been a therapist in the Omaha community for over 20 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including home-based services, intensive outpatient for eating disorders, school-based mental health services, and private group practice. Nicole specializes in treating depression, anxiety, perinatal mental health, eating disorders, grief, trauma, life transitions, LGBTQ+ teens and adults, and women’s issues. She enjoys working with older adolescents and adults. Using humor and compassion, Nicole draws from a strength-based approach using cognitive-behavioral techniques.
Nicole is a Level 1 and Level 2 trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. EMDR is an evidenced based approach to treating trauma. Nicole also received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) through the Stanford University School of Medicine. CBT-I is considered to be the first line treatment for insomnia.

Welcome to Goldenrod Counseling! We are a small mental health practice located in Omaha, Nebraska, providing in-person and telehealth counseling. We strive to provide our clients with the support they need, whether that be skill development or therapy and counseling. We believe in meeting people where they are and giving them the tools they need to create change for themselves. Sometimes the hard part of coming to counseling is making your first appointment but you'll be glad you did. It might feel scary, but we will do everything we can do to make it as easy as possible.
