I have an empathic and personable approach. I use a variety of therapy approaches (i.e., CBT, Mindfulness, Attachment, Grief, and Trauma) depending on the client's needs. I like having a conversation with my clients and not just therapy. The therapeutic approaches I utilize include and are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness, Attachment, Grief, Couples, Family, and Trauma. I use several types of therapy, including CBT, Mindfulness, Attachment, Grief, Couples, Family, and Trauma. I work with a variety of clients, from children to adults, anyone from 5 to 95 years old.
I try to produce a comfortable environment with laughter, smiles, and, a tone that matches the mood. Many of my clients have mentioned they feel like they are talking to an insightful old friend, which helps them feel more comfortable in their journey.
During the intake, the client will answer some background questions that I find pertinent when considering the type of approach I will use. I like to tell my client's it's kind of like we are dating. We are trying to feel each other out to make sure it is a good fit for all involved. It is important for the therapeutic relationship.
