Let me first thank you for taking the time to read my profile and determine if I am the right person for you. I am a psychotherapist offering strength based, insight-action oriented, cognitive behavioral therapy to individuals, couples and families and have worked as a Behavioral Health provider for the last 20 years. My training is in Clinical Psychology and I am licensed as a Professional Counselor in CT. Although my primary treatment modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I consider myself eclectic, using a variety of treatment types to work with my client. A few areas of treatment that I address include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career counseling, perinatal, postpartum and life coaching.
The first few sessions will consist of information gathering to identify specific concerns to be addressed during treatment and develop goals for treatment. As treatment continues the focus of session may entail coping skills identification and training, supportive problem solving, and work towards cognitive and behavioral changes.
