I take a play-based approach with children, recognizing that play is a child’s natural form of communication. Through play, children are able to express emotions, process experiences, and make sense of their world in ways that words alone often cannot. Play therapy provides a safe and developmentally appropriate space for healing, emotional growth, and skill-building. I currently attend Capella University, am working on a graduate certificate in play therapy, and am under the supervision of both a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor/ LCMHCS and a LCSW. I am also trained in sand tray with the Oaklander Model.

Therapy is most effective when caregivers feel informed and empowered. I collaborate closely with parents to provide clear, evidence-based psychoeducation regarding emotional regulation, behavioral patterns, and developmental needs. Together, we develop practical parenting approaches that foster connection, structure, and emotional safety.

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens and strive to create a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. I believe therapy should be individualized, and I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. My goal is to help clients feel safe, understood, and empowered as they work toward growth and healing.
