DBT is an effective treatment for a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, substance issues, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, PTSD, and ADHD. DBT recognizes that client problems are often the result of skill deficits and works to increase individual capabilities through skills training. DBT skills are aimed directly at reducing problems that stem from patterns of instability in emotional regulation, as well as difficulties in impulse control, interpersonal relationships, and self-esteem. Understanding Your Nervous System
You've probably heard the terms "fight or flight" and "rest and digest" when it comes to the nervous system; however, do you know how they function within your body and in your life? Understanding Your Nervous System is a two-session workshop that will explore and break down the biological functions of your body's communication pathways and help you engage more skillfully in life. Participants can expect to learn how their bodies and brains respond to stress, identify stressful triggers, reduce stress, and increase calm using the power of their nervous system.
