I believe in a whole person approach to wellness, in that we cannot separate our physical health from our mental health. They are so interrelated, as our bodies speak to the emotional adversities we’ve had to face throughout our lifetime. Sustained periods of chronic trauma or stress especially wreak havoc on us. Such traumatic events can impact our personal wellness, our interpersonal relationships, our ability to cope with stress, and sometimes even disrupt our daily functioning.
My primary specialties focus on processing and overcoming complex trauma; as well as the behavioral management of health concerns. I am especially passionate about helping the helpers by way of working with first responder populations and individuals who are subject to vicarious or sustained trauma through their work.
With an empathic approach and an array of evidence based treatments, we can tackle the past to thrive in our present. I believe in meeting someone where they are- never pushing past your personal edge but encouraging and achieving the growth that’s possible with the right support.
