I specialize in providing counseling supports for parents at any stage of the parenting journey, with a focus on Perinatal Mental health. Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (Also known as PMADS) can include Postpartum Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and in rare instances, Postpartum Psychosis. Symptoms can appear any time during pregnancy and up to a year after childbirth. Additionally, individuals struggling to conceive may experience some symptoms as well.
I take a holistic approach with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness. I bring with me years of experience counseling children and a background in childhood development to help make sense of some of the more challenging moments of parenting. I am a Certified Yoga Instructor and can incorporate yoga into sessions as desired.
