Are you struggling with a sense of direction in life? Are your relationships feeling strained due to your or your partner's mental health challenges? I help my clients find relief from the burdens of grief, anxiety, depression, and worry in life transitions. My therapy room provides a dedicated hour in your busy life to share your story and get clarity on the kind of future you want for yourself. We'll collaborate on both the integration of difficult life experiences (past and present), and the cultivation of practical solutions. I'll help you find a unique path forward with fresh ideas that center and honor your identity and goals.
I have a special clinical interest in couples therapy, grief, life stage transitions, and clients struggling with a sense of purpose, existential questions, and crises of culture and faith. I have completed levels 1 and 2 of Lifespan Integration, a gentle yet intensive body-based therapeutic tool to support clients in emotional and trauma processing.
Finding a good fit therapist can be a frustrating process, and I have particular sensitivity for my many clients who have had negative experiences with therapy in the past. I'd be delighted to hear from you to chat about what you're hoping for and share more about my work, because you deserve a truly great therapeutic relationship.

Clients struggling during a life transition or after a major loss or change will spend the first 1-2 sessions sharing about their story and hopes for therapy, and by the end of that initial assessment we will have a preliminary treatment plan. I recommend most clients be seen weekly for the first month, and many of my clients titrate the frequency of sessions up and down depending on their needs.

I have training as a systemic therapist, meaning I consider my clients' experiences and behaviors in the context of their relationships and the greater culture. I believe it's important to make space for both historical work (trauma processing) and here-and-now practical work (strengths-based goal-setting), and that the relationship between the therapist and the client is a primary healing tool.
