Pro bono (no-cost) short-term therapy available for those impacted by LA Fires and 1st Responders.
I help with life transitions, relationships, anxiety, and depression. My experience with "wise elders" has demonstrated to me that good relationships and meaningful work add up to a life well-lived. I can help you consider new perspectives about marriage/partnership, parenthood, and life during and after “intensive” parenting. My clientele include overwhelmed professionals who find that the pressure to “do it all” leaves them depleted as well as busy part-time and stay-at-home parents who wonder if life is passing them by.
My practice is anchored in doctoral and postdoctoral training in evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to treat major symptoms. After decreasing distress and dysregulation, we can use techniques of positive psychology to maximize happiness and meaning.
I aim to engage with a warm but direct therapeutic approach and prefer to use humor and encouragement to promote accountability. I frequently include mindfulness and relaxation training in sessions. I am trained and committed to culturally competent therapy for BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse individuals. I look forward to meeting you!
