I am a self-proclaimed “hope dealer” with a passion for black culture & mental health. I gained unparalleled experience by working collaboratively with child welfare and juvenile justice systems for approximately 8yrs. My experience and areas of expertise include but are not limited to, abuse and neglect, post-traumatic stress, race-related trauma and discrimination, sexually harmful behaviors, mood and anxiety disorders, challenges with maintaining a positive self-image, and attachment disorders. Driven by ethics, creativity, & humor, I take pride in creating a therapeutic space that resembles a conversation at your kitchen table.
Therapy should be an experience that allows you the unique opportunity to regain focus on the part of yourself oftentimes lost in the noise of others. Life, responsibility, and finding matching socks is hard enough, therapy shouldn’t be, too. At least not all the time.
