I learned something following a mentor of mine, “life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by lack of meaning and purpose.” This has been a foundation for me and a belief that I feel can best support individuals along their journeys. This belief coupled with a genuine and empathetic counseling relationship are factors that I feel can help facilitate re-connection and self discovery while repairing the self of past wounds. Mindfulness and curiosity can help bring awareness to feelings of angst and sadness that reside within us. My hope is that I can help you to navigate through life, despite its circumstances.
I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. As an existential and humanistic therapist, I often use narrative therapy which aims to help individuals separate from the problems they are facing, allowing you to externalize issues rather than internalize them. Within each unique story, there is meaning and purpose.
I find that having a strong therapeutic relationship with your therapist is the key for growth. Without it, it can often feel difficult and uncomfortable to be fully vulnerable or open up. By creating a sacred, safe and empathetic environment, I hope to help individuals bring the unconscious to the conscious. My hope is that in doing so, you will feel free!

Groups
Healing the Mother Wound

The unique relationship with our mothers shapes so much of how we relate to ourselves and the world. This group is a space to understand and name the impact of that relationship so you can better understand yourself and your needs, transform old patterns, and feel freedom in the relationship with yourself and others. In this six-week group series, we will be using an attachment based model to support women in more deeply understanding, exploring, and finding inner peace in the relationship with their mothers.
