Whether you are dealing with psychological distress and/or chronic medical illness, I believe my clinical experience and training can aid you in identifying techniques to cope more effectively. The most effective therapeutic intervention is meeting you where you're at in order to develop a personalized therapeutic intervention. Also, I believe that psychotherapy can in coping and enhance one's ability of self understanding, which often leads to making better life decisions.
I have nearly 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. In my practice, I focus on an integrative approach to psychotherapy. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and other approaches like insight-oriented, interpersonal, problem-solving and hypnotherapy. If needed, some brief diagnostic assessments can be provided for adults.
My experience includes working with adults with depression and anxiety disorders as well as chronic medical issues like chronic pain, cancer, gastrointestinal illnesses, and neurocognitive impairment. My therapeutic approach includes education about effective stress management techniques like hypnosis, guided imaginary, and other mindfulness exercises to reduce stress and improve coping.
