Although I have worked with children, adolescents, and couples in the past; my ideal clients are individual adults seeking to reduce or eliminate symptoms generally associated with trauma including but not limited to anxiety and depression. These symptoms are also often present in disorders such as PTSD, ADHD, Bi-Polar, OCD, Addictions, and Grief. My goal is to help individuals navigate these issues to achieve a better life experience. I believe every client deserves to be heard, experience unconditional positive regard, a sense of acceptance, belonging, and value, and experience a reasonable amount of joy.
My view is that counseling therapy cannot be a cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all approach. I believe every client is unique. Whatever issues they face are unique from their perspective. Because of that, I choose to practice an eclectic approach that draws from several theories and techniques including holistic concepts to help my clients.
I consider my broad range of life experience, including different types of employment I have held, and my compassion for people as two of my strongest attributes in being an effective counselor, and I believe they help me to meet people on their level.
