My training is in music therapy, which uses multiple facets of music (listening, playing, and composing, to name a few) to achieve non-musical goals. I enjoy connecting with people through music. I have a passion for individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and other issues. My hope is to use the uplifting power of music to break down walls and create something beautiful out of the pain.
I have experience working with veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and other issues. I have also worked with children on the autism spectrum, elderly adults with dementia, and adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities. I also have over 20 years of musical experience that I love bringing to sessions.
Internal struggles can be some of the worst experiences because they happen in the mind where no one else sees. Even if you just need someone to talk to and make music with, I am here to help how I can. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you feel music therapy would be beneficial for you.
