About
I specialize in working with adolescents, individuals, couples, and families overcoming trauma, mental illness, addiction, grief, and life crisis. From my experiences working in psychotherapy, wilderness therapy, crisis counseling with a police department, emergency room social work and as a school counselor in the Middle East, I work to understand my client’s needs and adapt therapy to their personality and preferences.
I believe that each person possesses a genuine resilience that can help them overcome life's challenges. Using humor, empathy and integrity, I provide a nurturing environment where individuals and families find that they are never alone, and despair is never the end, but an opportunity for self-actualization and to fully come into one’s self.
I’m passionate about helping people and feel it is a privilege to be with people during their struggles as well as moments of growth and triumph. I believe that the key to overcoming obstacles is to keep showing up, even when it takes all of your courage to do so.
