I offer therapy for adolescents and families struggling with a range of issues - mood instability, complicated life transitions, family rupture, addiction and grief and loss. Young adults are being confronted by a complex and changing world that is stressful and confusing. Navigating school, peer relationships and other choices that impact the direction of their lives can be overwhelming. Parents often feel overmatched. Everyone is seeking purpose in his or her life. The therapy I offer is designed to help cultivate an evolution of meaning within the life of each client I serve.
I believe in the resilience of my clients and that every individual holds a gift. I guide the clinical process by exploring and challenging my clients' defeating personal narratives and by encouraging and co-creating a positive, new story of self. I offer insight-driven therapy that helps people organize and address the problems they are facing.
I have worked with young people and families for twenty years. I have a lot of experience working closely with people from many different backgrounds and understand how complex life (and family) can be. I empathize with the challenges my clients and their loved ones are facing in this pressure-filled world. I love my work and hope you will reach out.
