I have been in the mental health field for over ten years. I am licensed in Wyoming and New York and believe that therapy should be a place where you can be open and honest about anything going on in your life, good or not so good. I like to take a collaborative approach to my sessions. My belief is that each of us knows ourselves best, and it is my role to unlock the skills you already have. I primarily use interpersonal therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Often, our time together is limited, and the true change comes as a result of the work done in between sessions. I look forward to working with clients who are insightful, open to feedback, and ready to be honest with themselves.
I am laid back and friendly and do not believe therapy needs to be robotic. There is as much that can be learned in moments of humor and laughter, as can be learned through tears. I encourage clients to show up as they are, even on the messy days.
