Clients seek counseling services for an array of reasons. Most often the issues revolve around how they feel about themselves, their relationships, and their futures. In many cases, people just need someone to help make sense of life. I believe all people want to be listened to and deeply understood. It can be difficult to trust when we have been wounded but with a supportive environment and loyal relationships, we can be renewed. We often need to begin to heal before we can thrive. Clients need insight but they also need practical tools. The goal is always progress but in areas that are most meaningful to them.
I offer empathy and acceptance. I aim to be authentic and transparent in our interactions. My approach is that of a facilitator who can guide you toward clarity without taking control of every session. If advice is desired, I will provide it, but I am not directive. I will support you in gaining a sense of personal empowerment to pursue the life you desire.
Though new to profession, I have a wealth of lived experience and have provided counsel to many types of people in a variety of contexts. I know personally and through my work, the emotional & physical pain we can carry, often alone. But you are not alone. I encourage you to seek the support you deserve.
