Sometimes life can throw us a curve ball and we need some help navigating the unexpected. Most of us will seek therapy at some point in our lives, but that doesn’t make asking for help any easier. I specialize in a strengths-based, person-centered approach that helps my clients learn to challenge their own automatic thought patterns in a way that frees them to create the future they desire. I strongly believe in a collaborative approach to therapy where we work together as a team. I do use an adorable therapy pup named Carl as part of the therapeutic process. If you are allergic, I am happy to offer video sessions online.
Before moving into private practice, I used this integrated approach to create one of the most successful residential recovery programs in Washington State at the Lighthouse Mission, where over 80% of my clients were able to achieve a year or more of sobriety while making significant progress with a wide range of mental health struggles.
I specialize in helping people cope with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma and many other common problems. I also specialize in couples therapy. I have been trained by the world renowned Gottman Institute for couples work. I have extensive experience helping couples work through problems such as communication, conflict, addictions, trauma and affairs.
