I'm a therapist, social worker, researcher, and teacher with experience working with members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and their loved ones. I'm passionate about supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, anxiety, body image disturbances, grief and loss, life transitions, and political stress. I work with clients of all gender identities age 14+. We might be a good fit for each other if you're interested in exploring and sharing about your experiences, thoughts and feelings, and if you're willing to be curious about yourself and the world around you.
I incorporate various evidence-based modalities into sessions depending on each client's needs, but I primarily pull from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I also advocate for joy, play, and moments of in clients' lives.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I completed my PhD in French studies and researched how video games can help us reinterpret the medieval past. I spend my free time outside of therapy playing all kinds of games, birding in the backyard (with my cat), and catching up on my favorite shows.
