I specialize in anxiety, depression and postpartum mood disorders.
Taking the first step into your own wellness is a very good thing, but you might feel very vulnerable too. Are you a new mom struggling with difficult emotions as you transition to life with a baby? Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed with life expectations or struggling to connect with loved ones. Have you felt more down or isolated lately? More sad or feeling out of control with your emotions and reactions? Are you wanting to form better relationships or have more confidence in your self? Together we can work on that and identify any barriers that might be in the way on your path to healing.

Not accepting new clients
I Am Not Accepting New Clients. Emotional Manipulation is often difficult to identify, yet the effects are recognizable. Feelings of guilt and being out of control, fear, avoidance, resentment and even anxiety or depression manifest. A history of abuse or learning that it's not OK or safe to set limits or boundaries on unhealthy behavior is common. We'll explore differences between helping versus enabling and work towards healthy relationships. It's time to learn to recognize the lies you've accepted your entire life.

You’re the mom who does it all — the school forms, the grocery lists, the mental load, the emotional labor. Everyone counts on you to keep things running, but lately, you’re running on fumes. You feel anxious, irritable, and overstimulated, even when nothing is technically “wrong.” You want to be present with your kids and patient with your partner, but your mind never stops spinning. You’re tired of holding it all together while silently falling apart. That’s where I come in. I help millennial moms who look “put together” on the outside but feel disconnected and overwhelmed on the inside.

I specialize in working with new, overwhelmed moms experiencing postpartum depression/anxiety and women impacted by coercive control and narcissistic abuse, although I enjoy working with women in all phases of life.
A therapist is a keeper of secrets, a steady presence in one’s life, there to provide support, validation, healing, perspective, guidance, a nudge, or simply listen. A safe space where no topic is off limits, no pain is too great, where there is no judgment or fear. This is what I provide. And forget cold, clinical waiting rooms and blank expressions. I am here to provide you a human experience.

You’re ready to stop letting food rule your life - and here is where that begins. Clients come to me looking for a place to be vulnerable, safe and challenged

Becoming a parent is one of the hardest roles to take on. Many moms never expect to feel anxious or sad after giving birth and blame themselves for having those very real feelings. Give yourself some grace; your whole world and all your relationships change when you have a baby. Even parenting older children can be challenging. I have over 20+ years helping moms feel better about themselves, their role as caregiver and finding ways to feel happy and secure again.

I am licensed in MA, NH & CT and hold a PMH-C in treating pregnant and postpartum women with a focus on anxiety and mood disorders.
Do you feel stuck in cycles of worry, stress, or self-doubt? Maybe your thoughts spiral until you’re exhausted, distracted, or disconnected from the people and things that matter most. On the outside, you’re successful—but on the inside, you don’t feel the peace or joy you want. A big life change—like a move, college, new job, relationship shift, or parenting—may have stirred up emotions, insecurities, or old patterns that are weighing you down. You want to feel more in control and confident, but you’re not sure where to begin.

Welcome to our family-run practice! Building an authentic, compassionate, and transparent space is the cornerstone of heart-centered and productive care. I strive to help individuals work through their current stressors and improve their coping skills and confidence for wherever this unpredictable life takes them next! I have helped many children, teens, and adults find ease in their lives, and am particularly passionate about working with pregnant individuals and parents (which can feel new again at every child age!). Prioritizing our own stress management and learning new skills, can often be the best way we help our children.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?

The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?

Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?

A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?

In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
