Sometimes life just feels heavy. No matter how hard we try, stress, overwhelm, and feelings of inadequacy can take over. You may find yourself shutting down under the weight of expectations—trying to juggle work, home, school, relationships, or the things that once brought you joy. The cycle can feel endless, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. Healing is possible. You can find yourself again, regain balance, and feel in control of your life. You don’t have to suffer in silence or carry the weight alone.

I view therapy as a whole-person journey—one that honors the unity of mind, body, and spirit. I hold a Master’s in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and a Bachelor’s in Human Ecology from the College of the Atlantic. In addition to my clinical training, I am a certified Hatha, Vinyasa Sadhana, and Kundalini yoga teacher and have trained as a Birth Doula as well as a Midwifery Assistant. These experiences bring a holistic, body-centered perspective to my work and reflect my belief that healing unfolds through both insight and embodied presence.

Does life feel like a constant uphill battle? You’re doing your best to keep up—with your partner, your kids, your work—but it’s exhausting. You might feel overwhelmed, anxious, or just... stuck. And while life comes with responsibilities, it isn’t meant to be lived in survival mode. You deserve support, understanding, and a space where you can breathe. You deserve to feel joy again. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, build emotional strength, and rediscover what joy feels like.

I work with pre- teens, teens and adults to address self-esteem, substance use, and general mental health concerns.
I believe that therapy is a deeply personal journey, and while it takes courage to begin, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Drawing on my clinical experience in the field since 2020, my focus is on creating a warm, collaborative environment where you feel completely heard, understood, and supported. Whether you are dealing with daily stressors or navigating major life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe space for you to unpack your experiences.

I see you and the pain you try to hide. You smile and keep going, long after you think you can’t. It's exhausting. It seems like you’re the only one struggling. You don't like the person you’ve become. Life seems unmanageable and your relationships are suffering. You’re tired and irritable. No one is listening. You feel missed and misunderstood. The anger and resentment are rising, even when you try to ignore them. It feels like you can’t do anything right. Life hasn’t been the easiest but you’ve managed and held it together. Now holding it together is all you’re doing. And you’re barely doing that somedays.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
