As a neurodiversity affirming therapist, I validate the unique way your brain is wired, and seek to understand rather than pathologize. Understanding how and why your brain works helps you advocate for yourself and identify what skills and life changes will help you feel more comfortable. Finding meaning and fulfillment in life despite when challenges come your way is the goal! I provide telehealth and outdoor-based individual therapy for teens and adults, aged 12+, with a focus on ADHD, Autism, LGBTQ+ issues, gender-affirming care, and caregiver support.

Clients come to me looking for a therapist who is skilled at navigating the complexities of trauma with compassion and care, because therapy should be a place where you feel safe and supported by someone who is well trained in their approach.
Do you find yourself stuck in a fearful, angry or overwhelmed state, no matter what you do? You’re someone who is very capable in their daily life, but still find yourself disabled by irrational fears or intrusive memories, feeling disconnected from your body, hijacked by your emotions, and believing you are broken. You may feel disoriented and confused by your reactions, and often have difficulty pinpointing what is going wrong. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to feel free and peaceful. You’re ready to love and trust yourself. Most of all, you’re ready to let go of your past and look forward to the future with hope.

I work with individuals (16+), couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, attachment and adjustment challenges, substance use, and major life transitions, with a particular passion for supporting mothers through the tender and transformative journey of pregnancy and postpartum.
My approach blends trauma-focused care and mindfulness-based interventions within a humanistic, person-centered framework. I strive to create an authentic, warm space where healing feels natural and collaborative. I sometimes incorporate nature into sessions, offering an approach that can feel less traditional and more grounded. I am also a NH IDSP.

One of my passions is helping people learn, grow and heal from trauma and depression / depressive thoughts.
I understand that it takes much strength to seek out assistance when needed. I believe we are not made to live in isolation, and we do best when we are part of a community. By recognizing the events that have formed us in life, we can learn from them and become a better version of ourselves.

I approach my work with clients through a trauma and attachment lens, meaning that I believe many of the challenges we face with our mental and emotional wellness can be traced back to traumatic or interpersonally disruptive experiences.
In addition to using traditional talk therapy methods, I specialize in EMDR therapy and outdoor therapy. If you are interested in integrating nature, green spaces, or movement into your mental healthcare treatment, I offer outdoor-based/walking sessions. I'm also IFS-informed, using the Internal Family Systems model to support EMDR and talk therapy.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
