I am Lisa Brawn, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, trained Play Therapist, and am currently pursuing a Geek Therapy certification. I am a Gamer & Geek friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly, Sex-Positive therapist. My focus is on helping my clients navigate their lives and relationships. I treat older children/teens, and adults of all ages. Much of my work has focused on anxiety, depression, trauma & post trauma, relationship and family issues, parenting skills, school difficulties, teen/adult ADHD, life transition difficulties, behavioral issues, and self-acceptance.
My work is based on an integrated approach based on Person (client) Centered, Experiential, and Systemic Family Therapy; in combination with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Sandtray, Game Play, and other Creative Play Therapy interventions; including those from Child Centered Play, Geek, AutPlay, and Child Parent Relationship Training Therapies.
No two people experience life in the same way and, quite frankly, seeking help can be intimidating. I approach my work with compassion, humor, and a dedication to design a therapeutic approach that fits a client's/family's individual needs. As a therapeutic guide, I remain committed to assisting my clients navigate their journey toward healing and peace.
