If you are interested in learning more about healing with talk therapy and art therapy , I am here to support and guide you in that process. First, you can expect to explore your strengths and develop healthy coping skills for nervous system regulation before delving in. Next, you will be invited to connect to stories about adverse childhood events, to the negative core beliefs about self and the world, that may be underlying symptoms. We can explore together how these patterns of thinking may be impacting an ability to cope with life or connect with others; We can work to reframe these beliefs and make meaning of your journey.

I am trained in Art psychotherapeutic and nature based ecotherapies.
My clients are postcolonial, queer, subaltern, disabled, invisibilised survivors of everyday microagressions or complex trauma. Like my clients I am polycultural, multilingual, queer and attuned to queries on acculturation, multiple social identities, identity shifting, parenting minority or neuroatypical children, intercultural couples, as well as accidental, disabling or climacteric transitions. My clients want to come to terms with their complexities — those invalidated because of primary or secondary socialisation. Exploring symbolic language allows for production of new knowledge of self and self-(re)actualisation. Paris based.

You do not have to be an artist to benefit from creative arts therapy! In our sessions, we may explore different roles that show up in your relationships, create art , improvise, practice breath work, or simply talk through your day.
What are some of the stories about your life that no longer serve you? Could they be revised or reimagined? As a creative psychotherapist, I help folks who are processing trauma and struggling with anxiety, depression, self-doubt and the demands of perfectionism to identify harmful narratives and seek out new and hopeful perspectives. I support my clients in the process of finding authentic self-expression, understanding, and self-acceptance. I believe that regardless of the stories you may have been told, be it from family or society, you are deserving of peace and happiness.

You may have tried talk therapy before and it felt nice to vent, but it didn’t really help. Despite being motivated, spiritual and creative, you find yourself anxious and full of self- doubt. You may struggle with things in your life feeling out of alignment, you just don’t know how to get to a better place or don't think it's possible for you. I help millennial women like you by using talk therapy, EMDR and art therapy to heal at the root of your issues, discover what you want out of life, and create lasting changes.

I am a licensed mental health counselor and art therapist with advanced post graduate training in trauma, EMDR, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
My work is driven by the core belief that people can change. My goal is to help you have the kind of experiences, interactions and intimate relationships you want in your life so that you can feel connected, seen, and valued. I find that old wounds from past trauma can reopen in present day life experiences. I help my clients sort out what happened then and what is happening now. We’ll talk about how you feel about it and I’ll listen closely and empathically to what you both say and don't say. After that, we can work together to figure out the next steps to set boundaries and express what you need in a way that others can hear.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and art therapy and am an LQBTQIA+ affirming therapist.
You're a creative young adult who's tired of feeling stuck and uncertain. You feel drawn to living life boldly, but fear and insecurity have held you back. You're looking for clarity and want to live in alignment with your true self, but sometimes you're not sure who that is or how to express it. As confusing as that can be, you know you have aspirations and want to regain focus on achieving your goals. You want to feel empowered to make decisions and put yourself out there without constantly second-guessing yourself. You're looking to understand yourself on a deeper level to make choices that feel authentic to who you are.

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy which uses the creative process in conjunction with verbal therapy.
Curiosity and compassion are the foundation of my practice. I encourage clients to view therapy as a journey we embark on together with a goal of greater self-awareness and self-acceptance. If you're feeling stuck in some aspect of your life, feeling there must be something more, experiencing loss or life transition, coping with trauma or illness, I would be honored to provide support.

How can I find a therapist in New York?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
