Here we go again. Your teenager's mood is foul and you have no idea why. You've heard, "Oh wait until the teenage years," but didn't realize how tough this would be. There must be a way to help, but it seems like nothing gets them out of their funk. It's hard to watch your child seem so unmotivated, sad, anxious, and irritated. And heaven forbid you'd ask them to complete even the simplest of tasks, which results in a groan like you're telling them to build a house from the ground up. But the worst is when they blame you for it all. If you're giving your teen everything they could ever want, what do they have to be so sad about?

We all need spaces in our lives to be seen and heard. There are times, however, when it can be hard to find those spaces of acceptance, non-judgment, and problem solving. I will work with you to explore and find solutions to the challenges that come with navigating the realities of our complicated lives. My approach in therapy focuses on each person's unique stories, strengths, and resilience, from a space of empathy, and concrete tools to move forward. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that balances spaces of acceptance with change, which is based in cognitive & dialectical behavioral therapy (CBT) and (DBT).

If you or your child have experienced a stressful or overwhelming life event, or are looking for space to process day-to-day struggles, you deserve support. Therapy should be a place to explore and heal, and I am honored to hold space for this process. You are the expert of your own life and experience, and I want to work together with you and/or your child to formulate a plan of support that feels right.

Joseph Campbell wrote that, "Opportunities to find deeper power within ourselves come when life seems most challenging." I applaud the courage it takes to reach out for help, knowing that our first reaction to debilitating fear, pain, and life challenges is often to try to ignore or avoid it. Therapy is an opportunity to suffer less and thrive more, and undergo transformation in the context of a safe and supportive environment.

I am passionate about helping you create real change from within so you can experience life, sex, intimacy, and relationships as your heart desires. If you want to feel secure, confident, and satisfied in how you relate to intimacy and your relationships, I help you navigate your traumas, fears, wounds, and conditioning around attachment, love & relationships. I help you take your personal power back, remind you of your own inherent wisdom and truth, and teach you how to release the never-ending "broken" "fix it" cycle of self-improvement and repetitive painful experiences.

Choosing a psychotherapist is rarely an easy decision. Can I trust this person? Will she be able to help and understand me? I believe that feeling respected and heard is the first step in a therapist-patient relationship. It is a necessary prerequisite to meaningful change in a person's life.
People come to me with many concerns that can rob them of optimism and hope, and leave them feeling anxious, worried, alone, sad or frightened. I work to help people overcome obstacles, to value themselves more, and to help them find meaning and connection.

Thank you for viewing my page. Searching for a psychologist can be intimidating and difficult, but finding the right match can make it life changing. Many individuals see me because they are feeling sad, lonely, anxious, or "stuck." Some clients want to work through life transitions including loss of a loved one, having a new baby, or divorce. I help many clients with substance/alcohol use and working through traumas. Whatever your concern, I am happy to discuss it with you to see if I am the psychologist for you.

I have three main areas of focus. * Helping adults reduce depression and anxiety. * Empowering individuals who are struggling specifically with social anxiety. * Improving communication in relationships (at work, with friends, with family members and/or partners).

Hi, I'm Dani and I'm excited that you are considering me to help you reach your goals. I often feel that therapy starts when we ask ourselves "why is this happening to me?". This feeling of confusion can be overwhelming and make the first step - reaching out for help - more difficult. That is why what you are doing today is admirable and brave. In my practice I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs while empowering you to create a fulfilling and satisfying life.

My ideal client feels that things may not be working out in their life and would like to talk about it, work on it, resolve and heal. I'm here to help on that journey. You may be dealing with trauma, bereavement, loss, substance abuse, or sexual and psychological abuse, work or school issues, ADHD, relationship/communication problems. During these difficult times, many have unmet needs and feel lonely, depressed and isolated. Most people want release from their emotional pain and greater joy and love in their lives. "My" client is looking to be heard and seen and taken seriously. You want to matter in the world. I hear that.

If you’re on this site, you’re looking for someone to talk to. Something is not going right, or you feel the need to unload to someone other than your friends or family. Taking that first step marks you as a very strong individual to acknowledge the need for help. I provide a confidential and safe environment to listen to you without judgment, but with patience and compassion. Most likely you are getting in your own way, and are stuck in patterns that no longer serve you well. We'll try to figure out what they are, and I try to offer some insight into how I think they got there. Then you get to decide what to do with that insight.

Finding a therapist and feeling comfortable with that person is a very important aspect of getting started. I like to think of therapy as a conversation at the same time knowing that you have goals for your life that will be the focus of our work. I take a very humanistic and interpersonal approach to my practice, which seems to put people at ease.

You deserve to be happy. Life can be difficult. Don't go it alone. Allow me to help you explore the things that are keeping you "stuck," whether it be relationships, career, health or addiction. Sometimes you just need to process feelings with an objective listener, one that can get to the heart of what's really going on and help you to live life in a more satisfying, productive manner. I have been helping individuals, couples and families move through crises and live happier, healthier lives. I can help you, too!

I provide traditional talk therapy and art therapy. Oftentimes it can be difficult to discern what exactly we are feeling, but I find that recognizing the way emotions present themselves in our bodies can help anchor our understanding and process confusing experiences. Sometimes feelings can be so overwhelming that the idea of putting them into words feels impossible, but through therapy we can do it together. I work through a trauma-informed lens and focus on collaboratively fostering a sense of safety, empowerment, human connection, and a sense of agency.
