Too often, we feel we have become mired in our life—in our sense of ourself, in our relationships, our work, our emotional experience. It may have been building slowly or appeared suddenly with a life event or transition. As your therapist, my goal is first to offer an atmosphere in which you can speak your feelings and thoughts about yourself and your life freely and fully. Then, together we can explore the unique experiences that have led to your current situation, and understand those ways of relating to yourself and others that may have been necessary in the past but now have become problematic.

I support my clients through life's ups and downs, helping them reground and reconnect during times of stress or anxiety. I guide clients in making decisions, expressing their needs, and understanding their desires in relationships. Using strategies like deep breathing, journaling, mindfulness, mind-body connection, and discovery worksheets, I provide tools for growth. I believe therapy can profoundly impact life, offering a nonjudgmental space to be heard, explore solutions, and heal. It bridges past and present, fostering understanding and providing the support many lack in today’s fast-paced world.

As a Narrative Life Coach, I want to help clients unlock the themes and patterns of their lives by asking probing questions and helping them work towards their next chapters. I offer weekly optional writing exercises and readings to support this journey. Narrative Coaching works well with anyone going through a painful loss or rejection, such as a death, break-up or divorce, as well as anyone who desires change but feels stuck or struggling. I'd like to help clients to realize their potentials by exploring possibilities, expanding their thinking and re-writing their narrative.

Life's challenges can feel overwhelming. Sometimes, we feel as though something is wrong, but we are unable to pinpoint/identify it. Other times we just need someone to talk to... The road to recovery from anything can be daunting, and I would be honored if you would allow me to accompany you on your Journey.

I believe that putting words to experience within a collaborative therapeutic partnership can be incredibly healing. I offer a warm, curious, and non-judgmental environment where we can safely explore anything you may be going through. I work with adults, teenagers, and couples with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, shame, grief, history of abuse, and questions around gender and sexuality. I enjoy working with those who are curious about the ways they may not understand themselves and view the change process as a journey. I also facilitate an ongoing support group for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

People often say, I don't know why I do that, referring to an unfavorable behavior. This is evidence of our unconscious. We are all products of our earliest emotional conditioning. That is fine, if your parents were wonderful, loving, and understanding. For the majority of people, there was some form of negligence and/or dysfunction that occurred due to the complexities of child rearing. We tend to push away what is good for us and seek what is familiar. Unconsciously, we will repeat negative relationship patterns unless addressed. We all are deserving and able to be the best version of ourselves.

You’re in your 20s or 30s and doing the things that are supposed to lead to success and happiness. People tell you you’re bright and capable, and maybe you know you are, but you don't always feel that way. No one fully knows that side of you that’s anxious and self critical. No matter what you do, you can't stop thinking about all the ways you're falling short, or all the things that might go wrong. For a while it felt easiest to put work and other people first, rather than finally prioritizing and exploring yourself and your needs. But you're realizing it’s not working and you’re ready to make some changes.
