My approach to counseling is integrative. I draw on components of Psychodynamic, Feminist, Multicultural, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems. I work with women individually and in groups by helping them process the physical, emotional, and physiological effects of trauma. I am also working towards supporting couples in active listening, empathy, and communication skills to further strengthen their relationship. I also work with university students in areas such as career counseling and trauma counseling.
My name is Nicole Bongard and I am currently a M.A. student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University completing my Practicum with New Pattern Counseling.
