I started my journey to provide counseling, in hopes of helping those who wanted to make changes, but just couldn't quite put the pieces together. Those who felt that there could be a light at the end of the tunnel, but were stuck in the darkness of their own thoughts. With a little guidance and support, one day they could reach that light and learn how to live again.

Admitting that you need help can be a very difficult thing. For many years my clients have primarily been individuals, groups, and families coming out of abusive and sometimes violent relationships and addiction. Although that was the original primary focus, most of them also struggled with other accompanying factors like depression, anxiety and other serious mental health diagnoses. My clinical focus has recently shifted to more of a community-based population. I have found this work incredibly rewarding. I enjoy working with additional needs such as grief, prenatal, postpartum depression, and abandonment trauma to name a few.

I like to think I have a unique skill set coupled with life experience that equips me to be a dynamic therapist. I served as a Marine in the military, spent 20 years working in the pathology field looking at healing the body and now work with clients from 5 years to older adult healing the mind. Therapy is difficult to navigate and can feel messy for the whole system (friends, family, work, school, and more). I value your experience and how that has shaped core beliefs. Because we have these core beliefs, doesn't make them true. Let's assign new rules to these beliefs and heal the system as a whole both in body and mind.

Our treatment is holistic and incorporates traditional counseling with wellness services such as art therapy, yoga therapy, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and massage. A client with anxiety could benefit from individual counseling, family therapy, yoga, and massage. Another client working to minimize an addiction could receive individual and group counseling, yoga for 12 step recovery, and hypnotherapy.
