I'm an experienced therapist including twenty years with University of Arkansas. I specialize in working with adults and college students. I see individuals, couples, and families dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, crises of all kinds, self-esteem problems, and sexual dysfunction. I am solution focused and will do my best to help you feel comfortable. My philosophy is that most everyone can use counseling at some point in their lives and that it is often the stronger person who seeks help. I offer a free initial consultation. I am here to help! I provide caring and compassionate therapy that is short-term and solution focused. My areas of focus for adults include anxiety, depression and life adjustments. I also treat couples struggling with relationship issues, as well as teens and their families. I engage my clients on a very personal level and work carefully to understand their unique backgrounds, difficulties and expectations for therapy.

My ideal clients are individuals that are struggling with Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression or other behavioral issues who need to learn better ways to cope. Other ideal clients would be parents/families with children who have special needs and need support, education and guidance to cope and manage their feelings and relationships as they may relate to the unique stressors of having a child with a special need.

I hold a Specialist degree in Psychology and Counseling and a Doctorate in Psychology and Christian Counseling, utilizing professional theories with a faith-based foundation.

I am passionate about supporting people in their mental health journeys. I want to help you develop and maintain peace in your life through the use of trauma focused therapy interventions including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused-Cognititve Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

I strongly believe in the POWER OF RELATIONSHIPS! School is hard. Work is stressful. Trauma is destructive. Families need help. I recognize strengths and solutions to validate, empathize, and affirm even when people are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship issues. I provide EMDR for trauma, Solution and Strengths-Focused Therapy, Family Systems, and strengthening the family structure. The therapeutic relationship is collaborative and supportive. Educators are my heroes, and I seek to serve them. I have substantial experience working in school settings providing training and interventions.

I am an owner/therapist of Rogers Counseling Services. I have two other contracted social workers who work for my company. We provide faith based services, if desired, and work with individual, couples, and families to help them achieve a higher level of joy and satisfaction in their lives.
