New Directions Counseling & Consulting, Psy, D, Psychologist in Nashville
Stress can overwhelm our ability to cope and disconnect us from ourself, others, and community. When stress surmounts, our valued direction in life may even become lost; leaving people feeling isolated and unhappy. My approach is to listen for ways to reconnect you with the wisdom of your body to help you follow your valued direction in life; often derailed by emotional wounds that trigger excessive self/other doubt, self/other criticism, and crippling fear. I would be honored to have the opportunity to create the space for us to collaboratively address the barriers to leading a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Hill received her doctorate in psychology from Nova Southeastern University with an emphasis in health psychology. She completed her health/medical psychology internship and post-doctoral residency at Interventional Pain and Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and at the Nashville and Murfreesboro VA hospitals.
She has experience with children, adults, and the geriatric population conducting psychological and surgical evaluations and providing psychotherapy to address various medical and mental health related concerns. She is well versed in a wide range of therapeutic techniques to address mood, anxiety, substance use/abuse, trauma, adjustment, and somatic disturbances.
