I don't believe in practicing from a distance, I bring my real self into the room in an accessible and open way. I am wholeheartedly invested in the people I work with and believe that therapy works best when it's a collaborative process. Ultimately, you just want a therapist who gets you, and I get that. I know it is a daunting task to select someone to support your mental health needs and for me no one is "just a client." I would be honored to work with you. My clinical specialization is Trauma.
Trauma can often be at the heart of other issues, like depression, anxiety, anger, low self esteem, self defeating thinking and self destructive behaviors. I also work with couples providing a safe but honest place to strengthen their relationship. Issues like poor communication, parenthood, infertility, blended families are tough; don't navigate these alone.
Together, we will work very hard to find what treatment approaches work best for you. I use treatments that have scientific evidence of being effective, like trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, somatic therapy and ecotherapy (meeting in the park for a walk).
