Welcome to my profile! You may feel tension between who you are and what the world wants you to be. There are certain expectations of you and at times, it feels like the world is on your shoulders. Feelings of sadness, anxiety, low self-esteem and frustration keep boiling to the surface. You want to confide with your family, friends or a significant other but you just can’t. You can’t share this tension and pain of failing with others because your true colors will show. You will show, who you really are.

Is pain from the past inhibiting you from living the life you envisioned for yourself? Does it feel like you've been through so much that it's hard to even conceive of such an "envisioning?" Save that stuff for once you're out of survival mode, right? The fact is, trauma alone is not uncommon- it's part of being a human being. But for some of us, these traumas have been so severe that we can struggle to bounce back, feeling adrift and alone. Like journeying across the ocean when a storm cracks your mast, emotional trauma can leave us feeling lost, confused, and even desperate without a sail. How do we get back to dry land?

Today was the worst day of your life. You feel like you want to blow things up and then to put the icing on the cake your belt loop hooked on the door handle and ripped your favorite pair of jeans. You're fed up and don’t have the best set of coping skills. You turn to substances or impulsive behavior. You’re sick and tired of feeling like you don’t have a safe place to be yourself and work through your crap. I see you and I have been there too. It’s scary to think about what life could look like once you find a new way to process the things you’re dealing with in a healthy and safe way.

I also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Theory in my approach.

I offer online therapy to women experiencing relationship issues, trauma, and a sense of feeling unfulfilled in life. In our society, we are continually asked to prove our worth. Our past hurts show up in our present day and knock our relationships off track. Together, we’ll uncover who you are under social and familial expections, reconnect with your true self, heal past wounds, and lay a path to overcoming what stands in the way of the life you want.

How often do we remain stuck in the same patterns that result in continued frustration, discouragement, and overwhelm? We may have tried over and over, to stick to a "better lifestyle plan" and yet continue to stay stuck. I see you. I recognize the difficulty in taking steps forward, while still experiencing the doubts and struggles, of living with a mental health condition. I believe we all have the power to heal ourselves. It doesn't matter what struggles we face, our mind and our body intuitively know what is best for us, in our healing journey. If given the chance, it is possible to evolve into that which we were created.

I love the concept of developing "grit". Learning how to overcome the obstacles and emotions that stand in our way. Let me help you deal with the inevitable anxiety and frustrations we face and develop the skills that help you deal with them. Perseverance, flexibility and adaptability gets us farther than intelligence, skill and luck ever will or ever have. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired...I can help. Some days we need a cheerleader with pom poms; some days, we may need a "kick in the butt" or a nudge. All days we want to feel understood, accepted and validated. I am known as being both direct and kind.
