Drawing from CBT, DBT, somatic, trauma-informed, compassion-focused, and energy psychology practices, I tailor sessions to each client's needs.
Being human, and especially being a parent or partner, can feel overwhelming in today’s world. I know firsthand how easy it is to lose yourself while holding everything together for others. This is a place for when you feel stretched thin, disconnected from yourself, or longing for something deeper. Whether you are navigating postpartum life, parenting stress, anxiety, or the weight of past wounds, you do not have to face it alone. Together, we will nurture healing that honors your whole self: body, emotions, values, and humanity, while guiding you back home to yourself with clarity, compassion, and hope.

I utilize EMDR to safely reprocess trauma and integrate somatic and relational tools to build real, sustainable relief.
You’ve learned how to manage a lot, but the weight of it all is taking a toll. Anxiety might be stealing your sleep and focus. Maybe a major life change - a loss, a move, a new role - has caught you off guard and you're searching for relief. Or maybe you keep ending up in the same painful relationship patterns. Early experiences may have shaped how you learned to protect yourself, and now it's difficult to relax and feel comfortable in your own skin. You want clarity, relief, and real change. You're looking for someone who gets it, can help you make sense of what's happening, and guide you toward something steadier.

“Healing does not mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.” Everyone deserves to live their absolute best life. Challenges may arise, however, that are difficult to overcome. You may be seeking help because you are experiencing pain, fear, anxiety, or a sense of hopelessness. You may feel stuck around a particular issue or unable to let go of events from the past. I understand how frightening and isolating these feelings can be. As your therapist, I will be honored to hear your story and offer my support and care as I help you develop the skills needed to reach your goals.

Trauma affects all of us at some point in our lives. This may be in the form of a significant event or the accumulation of stressors over the course of time. Eventually, you may notice symptoms such as increased irritability, decreased motivation, or even numbness. By reconnecting the body and brain, we can harness emotional responses and get you back to feeling like "you" again.

Somatic Therapists

How does somatic therapy work?

Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?

Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?

Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
