Common sexual problems that couples seek help for include: arguments, sexless marriages, libido mismatch, sexual ruts, erectile problems, premature ejaculation, painful intercourse, disconnects in intimacy or attachment, recovery from affairs , recovery from sexual trauma, and compulsive sexual behavior.
I work with individuals/couples on relationship and sexual issues. Sexual and emotional satisfaction is nearly inseparable for both men and women! The defensiveness that damages relationships is often the same behavior that controls vulnerability and intimacy in the bedroom. Simple awareness of learned beliefs or unhelpful fears can create the space a healthy couple needs to heal. Sex and emotional connection shouldn't wait on the backburner until life gives us a break - emotional and sexual expression should mirror life! If that sounds challenging, remember, I don't suggest anyone to do anything they do not want to do!

It is important to have a warm, safe place to discuss personal issues; a place where you can let your guard down and be accepted. Regardless of your stage of life, or the situation, your pain is real and can impact your life in many different ways. When faced with difficulties in your personal or work relationships, struggles with parenting, or any life transition, I believe that healthy and positive growth can result from a compassionate therapeutic relationship.

Welcome to my page! Psychological illness can be an invisible disease that others can't seem to understand or connect with, leaving us feeling alone, misunderstood, and lacking control over our lives. It is in these moments that a helping professional is most needed in order to develop new coping strategies, perspectives, and an understanding about how our personal wounds and experiences impair our ability to move forward.

I am deeply interested in the interface between psychology and spirituality with a special focus on forgiveness, coping and mindfulness, brain-based and attachment-focused parenting, and schema focused therapy, which well equips me to assist clients facing life transition issues or relationship issues with a spiritual/depth dimension. I view psychotherapy as a venue where I can help my clients to change their beliefs, polish their perceptual lenses, adjust their relational patterns, let go of unnecessary suffering, and develop a deeper capacity for joy by learning to live more mindfully and gratefully.

Yay! You're here, you have just made a great choice of choosing YOU! Making a decision to reach out for counseling can be so hard and scary. The good news is that you are not in this alone. Finding a good fit with a therapist is so important when it comes to feeling safe and vulnerable enough to open up in order for healing to take place.

Infidelity Therapists

How does therapy for infidelity work?

A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?

Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?

When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?

Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
