The process starts with getting to know you and celebrating what you have overcome and to help you work on establishing goals that may be difficult for you. I will help you focus on what it is that you need to have a fulfilling life.

Sometimes we come to a season in which we realize that our current ways of dealing with past trauma, connecting with people, or balancing life stressors just aren't working anymore. I am passionate about creating a compassionate and safe setting where an individual can work through strong emotions and past trauma. There is always hope and healing that can be rewritten into the path you are currently on. I have specific training in Maternal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International as well as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

I am licensed in both Nebraska and Colorado and split time between locations. I have experience working with individuals and families having a wide range of symptoms related to loss and life transitions. I also have experience treating addictions, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorders.

A lot of my clients have depression and anxiety. They tend to have a lot of negative self-talk and little self-love. They may have boundary issues and unhealthy coping skills when frustrated or angry.

I established this Practice with the goal of assisting clients in navigating difficult times through effective counseling, problem-solving strategies, and prompt appointments whenever possible. As a husband and father, I recognize the challenges faced in trying to find balance while also sustaining our own mental health and professional careers. I have two main areas of focus in my practice. The first is to "help make order out of your eating". The second is to help restore broken relationships. Struggles in both of these areas can lead to unhealthy levels of anxiety and depression, also within my scope of expertise. My goal is to help my clients regain control of their lives by empowering them to use the physical, emotional, social and spiritual assets they already have to their highest potential. I also do intensive trauma work using the Wall Work method designed by James Runyan.

Having practiced for a good while, my interests have been directed to working with people who struggle with ADHD and affective disorders (depressed mood and anxiety symptoms). I have also enjoyed working with couples (straight or gay). I am comfortable and appreciate the unique struggles experienced by non-binary and trans people deal with. I love doing group therapy and have thousands of hours of experience with that modality. All in all, most any one can benefit from good in-depth psychotherapy.
