Healing is neither linear nor neat, and many truths can co-exist: you can become someone new while still mourning who you were; engage in inner work and continue to be triggered; make mistakes and still practice self-forgiveness; and make progress yet still have difficult days. Healing is not about becoming more palatable, acceptable, or loveable; it is about growing in the ways you were always meant to. I provide a safe space that welcomes you to feel hurt, angry, sad, confused- whatever serves you- to feel seen.

Life is hard! It can feel heavy, messy, and overwhelming. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I offer a supportive, grounding space where children, teens, young adults, and families can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what’s been feeling stuck or stressful. Being neurodivergent allows me to bring both lived experience and clinical knowledge into therapy, helping me connect with clients in an authentic way while fostering understanding, self-acceptance, and growth.

I enjoy incorporating sand tray, art and play therapy techniques because they provide children with natural and developmentally appropriate ways to express themselves.

Anxiety, stress, emotional ups and downs, school pressure, relationship changes and the constant demands of daily life can leave people feeling stuck or exhausted. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood and empowered to make meaningful changes.

“A step may be the beginning of a great journey” In life the first step is always the most difficult for people, the same can be said about therapy. Introducing oneself to someone they just met, trusting a stranger with their thoughts and feelings can be a truly intimidating experience. The purpose of therapy is to provide a safe space for a person to take the first step on the journey of healing and the personal growth that follows. Therapy is fluidic and follows an integrative, and adaptable path determined by the client’s goals.

I have two main areas of focus in my practice. The first is to "help make order out of your eating". The second is to help restore broken relationships. Struggles in both of these areas can lead to unhealthy levels of anxiety and depression, also within my scope of expertise. My goal is to help my clients regain control of their lives by empowering them to use the physical, emotional, social and spiritual assets they already have to their highest potential. I also do intensive trauma work using the Wall Work method designed by James Runyan.

If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably carrying more than you can put into words. Anxiety may be taking up too much space in your day-to-day life. You may be navigating grief or a loss that has reshaped your world, or adjusting to a major life transition that’s left you feeling unsteady or unsure of what comes next. You may be living with trauma or PTSD, carrying experiences others can’t always see or understand. You may feel emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that no longer fit the life you’re trying to build. You don’t have to sort through it alone. I’m here, and I want to understand your story.

Art Therapy
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
