I was trained in an evidence-based generalist model with specific expertise and training in disruptive behavior, behavioral family therapy, behavior management/parent training interventions, ADHD and internalizing disorders in children and adolescents.
I work hand in hand with individuals and families to address goals and actively attempt to de-pathologize emotional and/or behavioral challenges that individuals struggle with. I work to actively engage those I work with to live a meaningful, valued life. I believe that my work with children often involves active involvement of family and caregivers whatever their title or status helping promote meaningful improvements. I value the need to listen to and respond to the needs of the individual or family that is present in my office and seek to help them accomplish goals as quickly as possible.

Everyone always says parenting is hard, but that it is so worth it… leaving you to wonder when that will be true for you and leaving you to feel guilty when you feel like screaming at your toddler for not listening, or pulling your hair out due to your child excessively worrying about nothing, or walking on eggshells around your moody teenager. While you’re still figuring out how to navigate and adjust to each new phase of your own life, you’re also trying to teach your kids how to be human and how to find their own authentic selves in this changing world.

I believe in incorporating a positive psychological and holistic approach to the individuals I serve. By incorporating an overall wellness and "whole mind/body" approach with individuals, I believe each person can get the best out of themselves through mental health therapy. I utilize evidenced based clinical counseling techniques such as ACT, Mindfulness, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and a variety of sport counseling/psychology modalities into practice. Lastly, I take an individual approach to every person I treat, knowing that every person is different and deserves authentic, genuine, and exceptional mental health care.

Our personal experiences are what form us into the person we are today. Naturally, because we are human, we tend to avoid thinking or talking about our painful experiences. Often, we need to acknowledge and address our pain to overcome it. My sole purpose is to help you reach your full potential, and to make you feel seen and heard.

Whether you’re struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or trying to understand your identity after a major life change, we will work together to identify patterns, clarify goals, and develop strategies that help you move forward.
I believe that we all have the capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change within ourselves. My role as a therapist is to help you access that capacity, understand what is getting in the way, and build practical tools that support the life you want to create. I work well with clients who are ready to be active participants in therapy. My clients are people who want support, but also want to problem-solve, practice new skills, and take steps between sessions. My background as a collegiate athlete and coach also gives me insight into the unique pressures faced by athletes, coaches, and high-achieving individuals.

My experience includes working with Adults having Anxiety , Panic attacks , problems with Attention Deficit Disorder and Adults that had experienced past traumatic events .
I understand how difficult is to find a therapist that you can connect with, especially in those difficult moments when you just want someone to understand what you are going through. Together there is not question that can't answer and there is no problem that we can't find possible solutions.

My training has been quite diverse thus I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and needs. My ideal client is an individual who understands the need to seek help or guidance and is willing to work with me on these concerns. I have over 18 years of clinical experience and enjoy working with "systems" (e.g., schools, families, support systems). I prioritize consultation with schools when addressing school-based behaviors such as underachievement, learning disabilities, and bullying concerns. I take a "strength-based" approach, always attempting to work within the clients talents and building from that point forward.

Adolescent's can be difficult in a variety of areas and I would love to help it become a little easier. My goal is to help all individuals with struggles in concentration, impulsiveness, compliance, and stress. We can also assist with any drug evaluation or treatment regarding substance use. We understand the importance of a self expression during the teenage years but we would like to guide your youth to do it in a healthy and appropriate way. We are just a phone call away to assist with this momentous occasion.

I love children, and especially appreciate the opportunity to work with young children and their parents. I believe that when a child is struggling with some type of emotional or behavioral issue, it is important for them to have a safe place to discuss their concerns and feel that they have someone "on their side." My office is filled with toys and art projects to help any child feel safe and comfortable.

While my practice is pretty generic, I have considerable experience working with ADHD and stress related problems.
The ability to talk to someone and have a sense that they know just where you're coming from and to know just what you're trying to say even before you can fully say it is a quality that my patients often describe when they tell me why I am effective in my work with them. I believe the challenge is in putting these skills together to help people find a way to be more effective in their lives. That is what the challenge is. It is with humility that i join my patients in meeting that challenge.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
