I do offer telehealth and am glad you are here looking for a counselor, especially when you are probably not on top of your game. I know that when you first call you will have questions and that our first meeting needs to reassure you that you made a good choice in starting this journey. A plan can be developed, you will leave the session knowing someone understood what you were saying, and that there are solutions to your problems. You came to this site for a reason, so give me a call or email, don't put off what could be a very good step. I will return your call within the hour or by 6 pm Monday through Friday.

Relationships are vital to becoming a whole person, including your relationship with yourself. But quality relationships don't happen by accident. Real love is built the old fashioned way - through hard work. Whether you're struggling with how you view and treat yourself or struggling with others, therapy is a wise investment and can help you learn to manage the very best of who you are. This involves developing a skill set that will enable you to learn how powerful you really are in forming lasting connections with others and take an honest look at the barriers to those connections.

Welcome to my profile page! If this is your first time, welcome to therapy. It's a lot more natural than you might think, but if counseling feels difficult, you could be very close to a solution. The important thing is that you have taken the first step. I have counseled adolescents and young adults, as well as women and men of every other age. I offer everyone an opportunity to develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust and empathy, in order to discover the roots of any presenting problem. We are made for relationships. When we don't have good relationships, the rest of life becomes overwhelming. Therapy is about learning how to relate to people in a healthy way, with good boundaries, emotional intelligence, and (appropriate) love. By looking at the past and how it shapes the present, we can be more free to choose a different future. Healing comes for those who don't want to repeat the past anymore but have freedom moving forward with those that they love. We will work on this goal together.

I specialize in working with adolescents & young adults struggling with various presenting concerns. Between friends, relationships, family, school/work, figuring out the future, and the plethora of other concerns that can be overwhelming during this period of life, sometimes it's just helpful to have someone to talk to! I work with my clients to help them learn strategies to navigate life's challenges with confidence. My ultimate goal and passion as a therapist is to empower my clients to take ownership of their lives. We may not be able to control the cards we're dealt, but we can control how we play our hand.

Counseling provides a safe place to resolve many of the symptoms of emotional and physical stress related to addiction, depression, anxiety or trauma. Through relationship counseling, people learn how to reconnect after conflict and discover the power of truly listening to others in conversation. Helping people learn how to respond rather than react in close and intimate relationships, resolving conflict through healthy communication.

Welcome to my practice! I specialize in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related disorders. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder involves experiencing distressing, intrusive thoughts. Intrusions are paired with repetitive behaviors. Themes include contamination, causing unintentional harm, perfectionism, religion, relationship, sexual orientation, and "bad thoughts" (violent, sexual, taboo). When addressing OCD, my preferred method of treatment involves Exposure Therapy with Response Prevention. Individuals with Hoarding Disorder experience significant distress when discarding possessions. Avoiding this distress results in an accumulation of items that intrude on one's living space. In treatment, it is important to address both acquisition and factors that interfere with discarding.

Beginning the journey of therapy can be a difficult process but incredibly rewarding and life changing; it can assist you to discover parts of yourself that you may not have known existed. Further daunting can be the unknowns of what therapy can look like. I hope I may ease these unknowns by sharing what you can expect from working with me. My approach to counseling is very collaborative, where we first begin with gathering your narrative of what makes you “you,” next identifying the concerns that brought you to therapy, and creating a plan to address the concerns and assist you in growing towards the path and person you want to be.

Many who seek psychotherapy often feel stuck and unable to pursue goals, healthy relationships, and (in some cases) basic needs. Psychological illness can be an invisible disease that others can't seem to understand or connect with, leaving us feeling alone, misunderstood, and lacking control over our lives. It is in these moments that a helping professional is most needed in order to develop new coping strategies, perspectives, and an understanding about how our personal wounds and experiences impair our ability to move forward.

Out of Network Therapists
An out-of-network Therapist in Lincoln has not agreed to any set rate with your insurer. Your plan may require higher co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance for out-of-network care and you may need to pay the difference between your insurer's allowed amount and what the Therapist charges.

The costs for a Lincoln out-of-network Therapist also depend on your type of plan:

In a Health Maintenance Organization, or HMO, or Exclusive Provider Network, or EPO, you generally have to pay the full cost of any out-of-network care.

In a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) or Point-of-Service (POS) plan, you will usually have to pay a higher deductible and or a higher co-pay plus a higher percentage co-insurance plus, the difference between the allowed amount and your provider's actual rate.
