Let’s be honest: life can throw a lot at us. Sometimes it’s the big, painful things that leave a mark… and sometimes it’s the quiet, everyday stuff that slowly builds up until we realize we’ve been carrying more than we thought. Therapy is a space to finally set some of that down for a while — to breathe, make sense of what’s been happening, and start feeling a little more like yourself again. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences have shaped your emotions, the patterns that may be holding you back, and the parts of you that long to be seen and understood.

I have experience and enjoy working with clients who have adjustment disorders, ADHD, anxiety, ASD, depression, dual diagnoses, identity issues, PTSD, psychosis related disorders, and mood disorders.
Hi! My life path to this point looks more like the scribbling of a 2-year-old than the "normal" pathway that one is supposed to take. If you are wanting a clinician to tell you how to do things the "normal" way and teach you to assimilate - you may want to check someone else's profile. If you want someone who understands brains that think differently and will try their best to figure out your strengths and a way to help you make the most of your neuro-spiciness, I am here for you (I am grateful for a spicy & smart client for that terminology!).

If you are feeling stuck, ever found yourself telling others you feel "stuck," feel like you have tried therapy before, and nothing helped. If you have gone through a major life event: relocated, had a baby, got married, in and out of relationships, struggling to communicate at work, school, or home, experienced grief, loss, and/or medical trauma. If you are realizing that old stuff from your past has surfaced, is starting to surface, and it's harder and harder to keep it all inside. That it all feels too much and overwhelming. You want to break the generational trauma cycle.

I work with adults and adolescents facing a wide range of challenges including trauma/PTSD, anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship issues, stress, ADHD, and more.
Therapy can help people connect with their innate ability to face and move through difficult situations, emotions, past traumatic or distressing experiences, and challenging mental health symptoms no matter how impossible it may seem. My goal is to provide a supportive space and evidence-based tools from multiple forms of therapy to help you manage all that life throws at you while creating room for more ease, happiness, confidence, connection, and more in your everyday life.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
