Attention Deficit -Hyperactivity Disorder can be overwhelming. There is substantial overlap with anxiety, depression, and difficulty adjusting to an ever-changing life. Many individuals are also challenged with behavioral and sensory issues that are difficult to manage, often resulting in conflicts with family members, coworkers, and classmates. These challenges can quickly grow into a life that feels unmanageable and unhappy. When life gets hard, a little help goes a long way. The chaos and stress can impact all areas of life. But it doesn't have to. You don't have to go it alone.

My clients struggle with anxiety, burnout, trauma, or how their ADHD shows up in their lives.
I specialize in working with millennial professionals who look like they have their shit together, but in reality are overwhelmed by their anxiety and the weight of feeling like a "failure." Together we can help you dial down the anxiety and stress. While we're at it, we can ditch the perfectionism and people pleasing, because your wants and needs are valid. We can even help you learn to accept yourself for who you are, instead of judging yourself based on your productivity.

Life's journey can often throw us curve balls. Everyone is worthy of love and belonging, however sometimes it is hard to be able to put yourself first and nurture your emotional needs. With the correct level of support, I firmly believe that anyone can achieve better emotional stability, find moments of joy, and learn to live in the present. No one is able to "fix" another's mental health concerns, yet through support, encouragement, education, empathy, and understanding, you can have the knowledge and tools to reach your own personal goals. I have worked in the mental field for 10 years.

If I were a baker or a mechanic, then who I am as a person wouldn't matter, as long as the donuts are good or your car gets fixed. However, with counseling, how you feel about your counselor matters significantly. Being a good fit is a necessity. I hope that this brief narrative gives you an idea of what working with me might look like so that you can make an informed decision if I'd be an appropriate fit for what you need. I value the science behind what we feel and why we feel it. I value humor. I value unconditional regard for those I serve. These are integral to my work.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a Fargo ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in Fargo.
