There is HOPE, CHANGE is possible! “Owning our story & learning to love ourselves through it is one of the bravest things we can do.” This quote by Brené Brown captures my belief about therapy. I love to offer a safe, authentic space where you don’t have to carry the weight of anxiety, self-criticism, or life’s transitions alone. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore your story, begin to embrace yourself with compassion, in order to safely process what’s holding you back.

Asking for help is a brave and strong act. Seeking therapy doesn’t indicate weakness—it shows your readiness to confront challenges and grow. As Christians, we are reminded that God calls us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and seek His guidance in times of need. If you choose, we can offer a faith-centered space to explore your goals, leaning on God’s wisdom and grace. However, spirituality doesn’t have to be part of your therapy. With or without faith as a focus, we’ll provide compassionate support to overcome obstacles, grow, and discover your unique purpose. This journey is about you.

I specialize in couples, anxiety, and perinatal mental health.
Somewhere along the way, keeping up with everything started to feel like too much — even if you can't quite explain why. Maybe it's showing up in your relationship, in a low hum of anxiety, or in the feeling that you've worked hard at life and still don't feel the way you expected.
I work with people who are self-aware, curious, and ready to do more than manage. My approach is body-based and relational — EFT, Gottman, somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR. For those ready to go deeper, I offer intensives: concentrated half-day or full-day sessions for individuals and couples.

Maybe your experience is complicated by grief — which is difficult to hold at any stage of life. “Holding” is at the heart of my work as a therapist. You do not have to hold these challenges alone. I've completed advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health with Postpartum Support International.
For over 13 years, I have dedicated myself to supporting people of all ages through a range of stressors, including anxiety, depression, tense family dynamics, grief, chronic illness, and life transitions. In this work, I’ve seen firsthand the tremendous pressures individuals face to appear “okay” and the self-blame that often comes from not meeting unrealistic societal expectations. These experiences have deepened my passion for helping those who are entering parenthood, raising young children, caregiving, redefining roles and boundaries in relationships, and navigating the complexities of grief and loss.

The goal, particularly for families who are in the prenatal/postnatal stages of childbirth is to help rediscover who they are, understanding new roles and build self confidence.
Have you been avoiding fights with those close to you? Families adapting to their new lifestyle after having a kid(s), getting married, starting new relationships or even divorce, along with handling other life changes can be overwhelming. Do you feel like you're struggling to express yourself or trying not to blow up? Struggling to reconnect with yourself and each other, can be very painful, and it’s common for many couples, especially in the first few years. Unfortunately, many people learn to avoid all conflicts in relationships. This can lead to resentment, which can cause more recurrent arguments and lead to long-term problems.

It's possible that on the outside, you're managing fine. But you’ve spent years pushing through, adapting, or blaming yourself for struggling with things that seem to come easily to others. There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from feeling like merely existing has been harder for you than it seems it should be. If you've always felt a bit different or identify as ADHD and/or Autistic, finding the right support can help soften the edges of a life that hasn't always been comfortable. You might feel overwhelmed, or perpetually behind, with a sense of being different always simmering under the surface.

So much is changing—and you’re trying to keep up with all of it.
From the outside, you may be doing what you’re supposed to—graduating, starting a career, becoming a parent—but internally, things can feel uncertain, overwhelming, or not quite like you expected.
I work with adults and young adults who are navigating life transitions and trying to find their footing when everything feels in flux. Many of my clients are used to being capable and responsible, but are quietly questioning what they want, who they are, or how to move forward in a way that actually feels right.

I have a special interest in supporting folks during periods of transition such as pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, newly partnered or separated, and empty nesting.
After a 15 year stretch working with children/families in community and school-based mental health, I opened my own practice in 2021 to focus on my passion: ensuring that adults who identify as ADHD/AuDHD, anxious, and/or highly sensitive, feel truly seen and heard. My lived experience—as a mother, partner, and an ADHDer myself—profoundly informs my work.

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.
When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.
How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
