In my years of practice, I've seen how depression and anxiety can affect people's lives and can cause a great deal of guilt and frustration. Life is a journey, both joyous and painful. I believe that no one purposely tries to mess up their life, however, once caught up in our own situations we often cannot see the "forest for the trees", making it difficult to see things any differently during stressfull times.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy to people experiencing a variety of mental health, substance use, or relationship concerns. I utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and other modalities to assist clients in addressing concerns including, but not limited to, addiction, depression, anxiety, personality issues, domestic violence, and trauma. I am also certified as a Clinical Supervisor Intern through the NCASPPB. I provide ongoing supervision to other addictions professionals.

A connection with my clients is the first thing that others will say is strong about my work. Building a trusting relationship in which there is safety, genuine care, interest, and validation is at the core of good therapy and is my strength. My interventions are soft and leave each of my clients feelings they have authority in their own lives, they can love and respect and care about themselves, showing themselves compassion at every turn. I am licensed in clinical social work (LCSW) as well as substance abuse services (LCAS). I am also a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). I have a Bachelors Degree in Spanish Language and Literature and speak Spanish fluently. My primary goal is to provide a service that emphasizes trust, respect, confidentiality and compassion. I use a strength-based approach that focuses on supporting individuals, families, and couples through emotional and behavioral challenges.

My goal is to help individuals struggling with trauma, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, adjustment, burnout, and life transitions. I am also beginning to work with couples.
