My clients want to connect to others but are afraid. They've learned in childhood that those that are supposed to love you don't always treat you well. Yet, their deepest desires are to be seen, heard, and accepted. My clients often carry shame or guilt while also knowing deep down that they have immense strength and worth. They have the desire to move forward and live a fulfilled life, but feel stuck. Does any of this sound or feel familiar? Great news: it doesn't have to be this way! Reach out to me! Together, let’s explore a path forward—a healthy way forward—so that you can thrive. After all, you deserve to thrive.

Video on Website Link - Not Accepting New Clients at this time - I believe life should be a lot easier then it is. We all get pushed past our limits that challenge who we think we are. The pressure changes us into different people. How do we get past reacting to life and get on to living life intentionally? The answer is not easy, because there are many factors that fracture our attention, steal our resources, and prevent progress. My job is to help change these factors to set you up for success and aid in defining what success means for you.

I work with adults, particularly high-functioning adults and trauma survivors, using EMDR as my primary approach.
Seeking support can feel daunting, especially when you’ve been managing a lot on your own. You may appear high-functioning—handling work, relationships, and responsibilities—while internally feeling anxious, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted. Many trauma survivors keep going even when their body doesn’t feel safe. You want understanding, relief, and a way to feel present, connected, and more in control of your life.

I find sitting and partnering with clients in their most vulnerable places to be a great honor, and I have found that doing so has often helped them to some of their greatest areas of growth, to an awareness of their own strengths, and to their deepest experiences of joy. This is especially true as they are met by someone on their journey who demonstrates genuine compassion, curiosity, and kindness.

Using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and EMDR, I help clients process trauma and anxiety in a way that can create meaningful relief and shifts in as little as one session, often faster than traditional talk therapy alone.
I offer a grounded, compassionate space where you don’t have to hold it all together. If you’re neurodivergent, highly sensitive, or exhausted from masking and over-functioning, you can finally exhale here. We’ll focus on the root of what’s keeping you stuck so change feels steady, meaningful, and sustainable.

I offer both talk therapy and EMDR to help clients move beyond coping and create meaningful, lasting change.
I help ambitious, high-achieving women overcome burnout and set boundaries so they can rest without guilt and enjoy the lives they have built. You may look capable and put-together on the outside while privately feeling exhausted from carrying so much. If you grew up with an emotionally immature parent, you may have learned to focus on everyone else’s emotions while pushing your own needs aside. Over time, these patterns can show up as people-pleasing, overthinking, self-doubt, and difficulty setting boundaries.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
