You're anxious. All you want is a safe space. But the horrors continue. How will this 2026 be any different than 2025? You're ready to find a place where you can say how you're really doing. You're determined now; you've made the decision to take care of yourself...AND you know you want some help doing it. What if you could connect to someone who could truly see how you're doing and not pass judgment? And what if having someone wisely walk with you will help your life improve?

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a safe haven for you to explore, discover and heal the authentic you! After a long day of being what the world needs you to be, HERE together is where we unmask and uncover who you truly are -- HERE is where happiness lives. I have a passion for the therapeutic process by deconstructing learned behavior and patterns while bringing blind-spots into awareness so that motivated clients can make conscious changes and show up in the world, life and relationships joyfully engaged as your true self.

We all have parts of ourselves that we don’t fully understand or embrace. Sometimes these aspects of us can create challenges and get in the way of living life with intention, joy, and ease. By developing curiosity and compassion for ourselves and others, we can begin to untangle our stories and view them through new lenses. I work to empower my clients to find meaning and reconnect with their authentic selves. By integrating all parts of ourselves, we can experience incredible transformation. I want to help you find lasting growth and balance, not just temporary relief.

Substance addiction, anxiety, trauma, anger, codependency and fear keep us from achieving our goals and being the best version of ourselves.
Using an eclectic mix of cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, person centered therapy, trauma-focused therapies and client education, I help clients to develop a deeper understanding of their experiences and how those experiences have shaped them. These experiences are part of us but do not have to define us or dictate our futures.

I was in NY for the past 20 years and working at Columbia. I have transitioned to NC within the past few months in hopes to enjoy the slower pace and the sunshine. I believe reaching out to a therapist is one of the hardest things to do because of the stigma. My goal is to provide a caring, nonjudgmental space for you to express your true feelings of anger, depression, anxiety or even addiction. I believe your past unconsciously impacts your future and with a little patience, empathy and understanding can lead to a happier you!

Well versed in working with codependency and attachment styles as well.
You may be here because traditional therapy never quite fit. You’re self-aware, intuitive, possibly neurodivergent, & spiritually curious but religion and colonized systems don’t resonate. If you’re the black sheep, cycle-breaker, or someone who’s felt misunderstood in therapy, you’re not alone. I offer trauma-informed, somatic-based therapy, like EMDR, grounded in neuroscience while honoring intuition, ancestral wisdom & the mystical. When aligned with your beliefs, I integrate mindfulness, energy awareness, & astrology alongside modern psychology. Together we process trauma, increase nervous system safety & honor divine wisdom.

What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
