Freud is credited with stating that two things really matter in life: love and work. I help people find greater satisfaction with a) their relationships with themselves and others, and b) what they do to make meaning in their lives. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to help you maximize your spiritual, physical, and emotional potential. Operating from an orientation which draws primarily on a combination of contemporary psychoanalytic, attachment, and neurobiological perspectives, I am fully committed to walking with you on your journey toward greater satisfaction and fulfillment.

I use several modalities including CBT, IFS, EMDR, Polyvagal, Emotion therapy, IPT, Grief, Trauma, Family Systems and Psychodynamic but do not work in a "programmed" way and work to blend the use of modalities with your life.
Hello! Welcome - I work with adults who are seeking both deep personal insight and practical solutions. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, childhood abuse, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, or the demands of high-pressure roles. I believe that understanding how the past shapes the present is key to meaningful growth, but I also focus on tangible strategies so clients move forward in ways that feel empowering and effective. My approach is warm, collaborative, strategic and insight-driven. I value deep connection with my clients and strive to create a comfortable place to grow. Email is best for first contact.

It feels hard to move forward, and you’re stuck with the same problems despite your efforts. Life changes and stress impact your ability to connect with yourself and manage your emotions effectively. You might be carrying a weight—maybe a sense of not being enough or feeling scared about opening up and making some changes. You go through your daily routines and pretend that everything is okay. But in those moments of silence, you can still hear that voice in the back of your head, asking you to slow down and find space to heal—it’s desperate to be heard. You know that things can’t continue like this.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.
How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.
Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.
What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
