I can help you find your way through infertility, grief, and infidelity.
If you are feeling troubled, I'll help you sort out why you are having difficulty, develop a clear sense of the obstacles that stand in your way, and assist you in finding solutions. Maybe you're ready to make big changes in your life, or looking for support through a stressful time and a place to understand your feelings so you can know what decisions to make. I find joy, both assisting someone to enjoy life fully and realize their true potential, and in helping couples-in-crisis reconnect and find the place of healing that allows a secure and loving connection.

Whether it is the loss of loved one, end of a cherished relationship or women facing infertility challenges, it is my goal to accompany my clients through their grief journey with sensitivity, respect and unwavering support.
Everyday life can feel incredibly heavy and often times lonesome. Talking to a mental health professional such as myself can be very helpful. There is a myth that being in therapy is a sign of weakness, when in fact, reaching out for help is an act of courage and definitely one of the first steps of this journey. It is my privilege to work with you. My deep understanding of the diverse needs of my clients helps me meet you where you are. As a compassionate listener I provide a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your emotions, confront challenges, and embark on a journey of growth, healing and self-discovery.

I am also passionate about working with those who have experienced grief/loss (including infertility, miscarriage, baby loss, birth trauma), postpartum, perinatal mood and anxiety.
Hi, I am glad that you are here. Reaching out to a professional takes a great deal of courage and inner strength. I take great ownership within the foundation that I have been able to build within myself that has allowed me to have a keen sense and awareness within the therapy space. In our therapy sessions, one will often hear me talk about ‘the core,’ what is one’s core searching for, healing from, running away from, hiding from. My passion is to work and walk with you through what’s actually going on in your life to help you rebuild confidence, find hope, and restore a greater connection with who you really are.

I also specialize in helping mothers who struggle with infertility and loss of a child.
I have always known that helping others is my purpose. My own personal life challenges and feeling that I was in a dark place pushed me a strong desire to understand myself and my feelings at a deeper level. I realized that I wanted to leave the world better than I had found it, and I wanted to do so by helping others to heal. My own healing journey brought me to help others through therapy. I use a strengths-based approach to help my clients ease the pain that they are experiencing, by not only being there and offering an empathetic ear, but by helping them to find the joy in life that they may have thought would be lost forever.

I have a particular interest in working with individuals working through life transitions and those dealing with infertility and/or relationship pain.
My ideal client is someone who has an idea of where they want to be but needs a little help to get there. I believe that the therapeutic journey is about understanding a person's life experience in order to help them reach their full potential. Developing a trusting relationship is a very important aspect in creating change. And whether these changes are small or large in scale, they can have a profound impact on someone's life. I like to be able to support and guide clients as they work on those changes.

I provide support for teens, young adults and adults experiencing stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity stressors, racial/cultural oppression, women's issues, relationship stress, perinatal mental health (infertility, pregnancy, postpartum depression and anxiety, and birth trauma).
You often find yourself feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, shutting down, or becoming defensive due to stress and anxiety. Juggling multiple responsibilities has you feeling as though you can't catch a break. Maybe you've been giving so much of yourself to others that you have nothing left for you. You're feeling exhausted from worrying so much about different things. Maybe you haven't been able to shake the "baby blues." You have reached a point where you want to feel in control of your life. Therapy offers a safe and non-judgmental space to explore these experiences.

Infertility Therapists

How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?

Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.

How does therapy for infertility issues work?

The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.

What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?

Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.

How long does therapy for infertility issues take?

There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
